Payment Options (U.S. only)

We accept the following forms of payment through the online shopping cart:

1.     VISA, Mastercard, American Express or Discover - via secure SSL        encrypted server. The billing name and address must match the name and        address for the card used and must be located in the USA.

2.     PAYPAL - Accepts both credit cards and electronic checks. My ID is        dana@craftsnscraps.com. All international orders must pay via Paypal.        Paypal receipts have limited space for listing items. A packing slip will be included        with your shipment that lists all items individually for your records.

3.    Will call with card number - Place your order online and call your card info to us        directly. A little extra security for those who don't like to enter credit card        information on the internet. You must call within 48 business hours or your order        will be automatically cancelled (we can't hold goodies indefinitely).

All secure transactions are processed by CISP compliant providers. Our privacy policy is here.

Phone Orders: We recommend that you use the Will call with card option and place the order online so you can see shipping costs and check for clerical errors. Credit card orders may be placed via telephone to (303) 369 -5507, between 9am - 6pm Mountain time. Our normal business week is Mon-Fri. We will try to take calls on weekends too. If we are away, please leave a message at the beep and we will get back to you.

After you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail at the address provided. Save this e-mail as your receipt. Be advised that if there is a problem with your payment and we are unable to contact you by both phone and e-mail, your order will be cancelled. Crafts'N'Scraps also reserves the right to cancel any order that is deemed fraudulent or potentially fraudulent.

Our minimum order is $5.00. Credit cards are charged when orders are ready to ship.

You must be 18 years or older to order from Crafts'N'Scraps. Kids, be sure to get your parents permission to surf and have them place the order for you.

Express Mail- Due to the new postage zone system in place, shipping costs are estimated and may differ from what the cart calculates. We will contact you by phone if your cost changes based upon your zone. Includes free insurance. You must be present for delivery. They will make 2 attempts to deliver your package. Then hold it for five days before returning to us. Shipping fees are not refundable if your package is returned.

Delivery Confirmation - Provided free of charge when available. Delivery confirmation will only tell you when a package has been delivered. It does not provide any other tracking info.

Orders totalling less than $100 - Choose from first class or priority mail shipping. Insurance is optional and will cost an additional $1.00. Crafts'N'Scraps pays the difference to insure packages to full value. Be advised - we are not responsible for loss or damages of uninsured items so we recommend paying for insurance on orders of $25.00 or more.

Orders totalling $100 or more - To safeguard your purchase, all orders over $100 must be insured and will be sent via USPS Priority Mail with free delivery confirmation. The cost of insurance is included in the shipping fee. Crafts'N'Scraps pays the difference to insure packages to full value.

HINT! You can compare the cost for shipping your order by simply selecting either first class or priority mail shipping in the cart. Hit the recalculate button to see the new total.

Insurance information:

If you wish to be covered for loss or damage caused by the post office, please purchase the additional insurance for $1.00. We really pack items well and have had a very good experience with USPS. Thats why we do not automatically charge customers for insurance which helps to keep your shipping fees lower on smaller orders. Be warned! You assume the risk if you do not buy the insurance. Crafts'N'Scraps cannot be held responsible for unisured stolen, damaged or lost orders. Insurance claims cannot be processed until 30 days have passed from time of mailing.

Shipping and handling fees cover processing costs, the packing materials (tape, labels, boxes, gas etc.) and the actual postage. I do everything I can to keep your costs low.

Return Policy

If you are unhappy in any way with your purchase, simply return it within 14 days of receipt. You must e-mail for approval before making a return or it cannot be accepted. Items must be in their original, undamaged condition (including jewelry pouches or boxes) for a no questions asked refund of the item cost. There are no refunds or exchanges after 14 days so please inspect your purchases well upon receipt. Custom items are eligible for exchange or store credit only. Pre-approved personalized items and special order/bulk items brought in just for you are non-returnable.

If you experience breakage etc. within 14 days from receipt of your order, please e-mail us for instructions. We will work out an arrangement to return the item for replacement or refund. Breakage resulting from obvious mistreatment above and beyond regular use during this time should not be returned.

If you are returning an item you must send and e-mail to dana@craftsnscraps.com and wait for instructions. That way we know to expect it and can set stock aside etc. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or irregular craftsmanship. Reminder- Items must be postmarked within 14 days from receipt to be eligible for refunds.

Repairs or resizing:
We understand that accidents happen. There is no such thing as an indestructable piece of jewelry or sculpture. Should you break a well loved item and would like it repaired, please e-mail us. We will see what we can do for you. After the 14 day return period, repairs may be free or there may be a charge depending on what needs to be done. You will be responsible for postage and possibly material costs. Resizing costs will be discussed via e-mail. We do not repair or resize items bought from other companies.

Estimated Shipping & Completion Times (as of 1/8/08)

Please keep in mind that these dates are estimates, are subject to change and may be a bit longer around holidays and during peak ordering times. If you need the item shipped by a certain date, please indicate the date in the comments section of your order. I'll do my best to get it to you in time! Any questions? Just e-mail me!

Orders consisting of wristbands, imported charms, silvertone, and other imported costume jewelry pieces (stretch and charm bracelets etc.) or imported polymer clay beads:

Most items are ready to go and ship out in 1-3 business days (Mon-Fri, not including postal holidays).

Dana's Polymer Clay, Original, Handbeaded or Handpainted/Hand enameled, Custom requests, or Sizeable jewelry designs:

Only items with purchasing links are available and many are created on demand. Most available designs are shipping out in 1-10* business days. If you have a deadline, be sure to let us know in your order comments. Allow enough time for both creation and transit.

* If the wait on any order will be longer than three weeks, we will e-mail the estimated completion time for your approval before final processing. Regardless, your credit card will not be charged until your order is ready to go.

Since this is a large website with diverse goodies, please let us know if you are unsure when an item will be shipped. We will e-mail you if you happen to order an item that is temp. not being created or has sold out. You are always welcome to send us your wish list for sold out items via e-mail too.

Care, Safety and Proper Use of Costume Jewelry, and all other items

Things to avoid: Do not wear your jewelry in the shower or pool or wear them to bed. Do not expose jewelry, beads etc. to high temperatures like your car dashboard, or spray them with hairspray or perfumes.

Safety: All items on this site are intended for use by adults only unless they are located in our Childrens Bracelet Galleries (see below for lead info.). All small parts are a choking hazard for anyone under the age of 5 and the recommended age for jewelry wear is 8. Do not allow children to play with beads or let them place any jewelry, charms, findings etc. in their mouths because they may accidentally ingest or choke on them. Never suck or chew on your jewelry or wear it to bed. We understand that some of our designs are just too cute to resist and some of our beads look good enough to eat, so please keep your little ones safe!

Cleaning your jewelry: Non-painted polymer clay pieces may be wiped with a damp cloth or washed with a mild handsoap. Many chemicals eat through polymer clay so ammonia and other cleaners should be avoided. Metallized, plated or sterling silver pieces may be cleaned with a jewelers polishing cloth and light buffing. If you need a polishing cloth (the sames ones we use) they are available here.

Current Lead Information and Sales Policy

Children's Jewelry (ages 5 and up): Per the manufacturers, jewelry in our Childrens Bracelet Galleries have been safety tested and meet or exceed standards for regulation of lead and other heavy metals in childrens jewelry. Please do not purchase adult jewelry pieces for children to wear.

Adult Jewelry or craft supplies: The following items sold on our website are considered to be lead free per the manufacturers:

1. Any items created from Polymer clay.
2. Solid sterilng silver or gold jewelry, beads, charms and findings.
3. Glass beads and findings.
4. Silicone, extruded plastic or rubber bracelets
5. Brass charms and findings.
6. Aluminum or surgical steel jewelry and findings.
7. Cubic Zirconium
8. Vermeil jewelry or findings (gold plated over sterling silver)
9. Lead free pewter charms and findings
10. Silicone rubber cord, leather cord, satin/fabric ribbons, shell, wood or feathers.
11. Any other adult jewelry pieces or parts described as "Lead Free".

Adult jewelry items or parts described as "Safety tested for lead" "Lead Safe", "Lead Compliant" are not lead free but contain levels of lead within current state and federal requirements for adult use.

The following items contain lead, but it is not easily accesible to the body even when injested. They are therefore considered safe for use in adult jewelry designs in any amount:

1. Swarovski crystals, Austrian crystals or leaded crystals.
2. Fire polished glass crystal beads.

Any other items for sale on this site are for adult use only because the possibility or amount of lead content has not been tested and is unknown.

California Specific Lead Laws and information:

Proposition 65 information: Attention California residents. Proposition 65 WARNING. Consuming foods or beverages that have been kept or served in leaded crystal products or handling products made of leaded crystal, will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. This warning applies to all items described as containing Swarovski or "Austrian Crystals". Our crystals do contain lead so please do not chew on, injest them or use any items with food products.

For Childrens Jewelry: The state of CA has enacted a new law Effective 9/07 that limits the amount of Swarovski or other leaded crystals or glass in childrens designs. Designers may not use more than 1 gram of crystals in a finished piece of jewelry. Just to be safe, we will no longer design bracelets etc. for kids with more than two 4mm crystals or fire polished glass beads (half the weight limit).

For Adults: Effective March, 01 2008: The state of California's Jewelry law (AB 1681) takes effect March 01, 2008. This law applies to anyone selling jewelry to or from California and includes all adult jewelry pieces. It is more strict than current federal standards. In addition, California is not grandfathering any vintage pieces or components manufactured before the law went into effect.

Unless an item is labelled with lead information or it was pre-tested by the manufacturer, Crafts'N'Scraps cannot be sure of its actual lead content (chances are its fine, but we have no way of knowing without sending it to a lab where they have to destroy a piece to test it). So we will no longer ship untested items or those not allready tested or pre-labelled as lead free, lead safe or lead compliant by the manufacturers to California effective March 1, 2008.

In the meantime, we are doing everything we can to obtain written documentation of lead testing from our suppliers and are working on bringing in more lead free items.
